I don't know - it was pretty damn confusing to me. Boston - now there's an easy system. Small, of course, which gives it some benefit in the "easy" department but completely straightforward. You buy a token, that lets you on a train. Inbound always goes to Park Street, Outbound always away from it. Simple.
