I am asking you: Can you install a third party card from Retail in your Macintosh and have it work with Mac OSX.
It seems the answer from you to that question is: I don't know. I am telling you from everything I have read that NO. you Cannot. Therefore, for home use where Gaming and other multimedia operations are involved, the Mac is not able to compete, simply because the software (gaming) is non-existent and even if you decide to Boot Camp Windows your performance is not top of the line. I am saying that for me, that's a major drawback and why, regardless of the ability to dual boot Windows, the Macintosh can not be a choice as a main machine for me.
