Yeah. I was reading that while ATI drivers lacked 100% features like video details and screen configuration etc. they got the performance up a long time now. So the issue really did seem to be Nvidia's with the drivers.
Nvidia's latest 8800 series of cards also has lots of problems right now with the latest Windows XP games. It's ridiculous.Went to a few gaming boards and saw quite a few posts by people with these 600 dollar cards having artifacting, flickering shadows...all driver related (or one would hope that Nvidia doesn't have something wrong with the silicon on the 8800s) ;-) On 3/21/07, Jim Davis <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: > > -----Original Message----- > > From: Vivec [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] > > Sent: Wednesday, March 21, 2007 4:58 PM > > To: CF-Community > > Subject: Excellent Article on Windows Vista's beginnings and graphics > > differences > > > > http://arstechnica.com/reviews/os/pretty-vista.ars/1 > > > > Really great article :) > > Ars technical reporting is really second to none. > > Oh - as an aside: I think graphics drivers are finally kicking it.
