Dude, why do you stand up for these freaks? (who's motto might as well be "guilty till innocent"!!! Totally Ironic.) This isn't about Republicans vs. Democrats, as much as some people may want The People to believe. This is about the goo-y core of america, what makes us special, and why so many have died defending and extending those, at heart, beautiful and inspiring beliefs. The shit that's happened since Bush2 got in the office is really bad man. It's really bad. And it's not just "those dems out to git 'em" or something silly like that. It's really disturbing to see people who don't have a problem with this whole deal.... I had hoped that people who didn't think this Administration was steeped in Evil were "made up" by the polesters, but I'm starting to gather it's not the case. The saddest part, is what was SO freaking possible. ANd look what happened. WEAK! It is really, really important that we do these investigations, and at least put light on what went down. I truly don't care what happens, so long as we don't just go on, writing history how we see fit, pretending everything is ok and whatnot. None of the problems that poked their heads up when the current admin got into office have been addressed. Don't you think we should probably be fixing them? I swear, this Administration is a textbook example of how to destroy america in 8 easy years. Not that we weren't already circling the crapper... but I've never seen cheering from so many as it happens. My god, we've got people who've Served defending folk who think that torture is "ok" if we word it right. It's a shame. A real shame. That's all.
