OK. I am looking to make a game engine using Flash. 2D, top-down view, turn based type of thing. The problem is, I don't really know where to begin.
I guess I am asking if anyone knows of any tutorials or references online that lean towards that type of thing. I also have not done much with Flash since 4. So, something that doesn't assume I know what I am doing would be good too. I could google, I suppose, but I am looking for personal favorites/opinions. This thing will be pretty complex and I am expecting it to take me more than 6 months and even up to a year to complete, but I also want to get up to speed as quickly as possible. Come on Flash peoples. Help a president out!
