In Israel being Kosher is just as much a political statement as it is a religious one. If McDonalds puts out a Kosher store with a non-Kosher one a few blocks away, no Rabbi will certify it Kosher, no religious Jew will visit it and for that matter, few if any religious Muslims will (they have to have halal meat). I actually think that the name McKosher is a great idea. It branches out the McDonalds name into specific population segments and makes it fit more with the community its in. I'd like to see McHalal in Muslim countries as well.
