It is - but so is the blinking bit that marks an insertion point.

In this case it's not a Caret tho'.  Carets are (usually) defined as the
"blinking Indicator" (marking a text insertion point) - but that's not what
Dana is talking about (I think).  That's just a pointer - but it's usually
called the "Text Pointer".  MS calls it the "I-Beam".  CSS calls it "Text"
(Cursor).

I've heard other names - but those are the most common as I remember.
