Naw. With global warming and the ice sheets melting at 100x the previously thought rate, there won't be too many islands left. And the heat and huricaines will wipe out most of the land that's not underwater. Turns out that the effect scientists didn't count on is that the meltwater flows *through* the ice and then sits between the glacier and the earth. This essentially lubricates and accelerates glacial flow into the ocean which creates icebergs that melt much faster.
