Indeed it does. However, I find it interesting that new information
about the situation is coming out. Several things strike me as interesting.

#1. That the Captain would be stupid enough to make statements about
intelligence gathering on camera. (yes, we all know it goes on, but to
openly admit it on video)

#2. That the British Government has denied the Intelligence gathering
(so who is not being truthful the Captain or the British Government).

#3. The fact that video was kept under wraps for the last two weeks.
Hours after the captives were freed the video was released. I wonder how
much control the British government has over the news. I also wonder if
the US would have been able to stifle such a report until the crew was
released. I am not saying the media and government working together, or
the government or media exercising control (we don't know which if
either happened) is good or bad. I just find it interesting. And wonder
what would have happened here in our up to the minute, first to get and
deliver the scoop atmosphere.

#4. The timing of the British halting the missions that got their crew
captured. Was there a deal? Is it for safety of their sailors? or does
it have to do with the fact the the Iranians are still holding the only
vessels used for such operations?

It's all too soon. We will have to wait to hear from the captives. The
British press is making a big deal out of the fact that they spent time
in isolation, and paraded before cameras. As anyone seen how we treat
prisoners? how about the photos we release of prisoners? It just seems
like there is a little double standard here. But again we will have to
wait for all the details. It just seems to me we are a little to quick
to judge. Not that Iran is a great place or that their leaders are nice
people or anything like that. However, it is possible that they are not
guilty of everything. Remember the propaganda of the Cold War?

I want to hear what the former captives have to say about their
treatment and why the would admit to being in Iranian waters. I also
wonder what they have been told in their debriefings and what they are
allowed to say, what they are being told to emphasis etc...

I love this stuff.
