I have to agree... we can definitely chastise people or claim an alternate opinion, but we've got to stop ruining people (or trying to) over single statements. We've got to get back to dealing with people based on the body of their lives. A slip of the tongue, a botched joke or a plain old dumb comment becomes a shit-storm. We've gotta be able to, as a culture, say "is that really what you meant" and when the person says "naw" we've gotta say "ukay, just checking" and move on with our lives. In most of these cases we're talking about people that spend the majority of their time speaking publically. They're bound to slip up - especially, as in this case, when the person makes their living insulting people. Now we're making a big deal because he insulted certain people too harshly? Well, turn the freaking channel.
