I have a list of "classic" novels that I've read, most when I was in school
or younger, that I just didn't enjoy for one reason or another. On most
occasions I think it was because I was too young or self-involved at the
time to appreciate them. Anyway, I plan on re-reading all the books on this
list to see if I can pick up on what everyone else seems to....what makes
them "classics". Several Vonnegut books are on that list, including
Slaughterhouse and Mother Night. Some others:

Notes from the Underground - Dostoyevsky
In Cold Blood - Capote
Catcher in the Rye - Salinger
Walden - Thoreau
A Farewell to Arms - Papa

Anyone else keep a mental list of the books they've read that they feel they
just didn't appreciate...and maybe should have? It always nags at me for
some reason......

RIP KV
