I have just spent the past 12 weeks or so making ASP.NET, C# and Crystal
Reports behave nicely on the web. There was a distinct lack of information on
this, until I found a Crystal Reports document containing a set of
walkthroughs. They were of use, but of limited use. I had to figure a lot of
stuff out myself.

I'm really suprised by how good the reports look when published. I had some
major problems that I needed to overcome, including that the standard toolbar
seemed to be broken when I used VS 2005 and VS 2003 lacked the ability to
export or print from the standard toolbar. I ended up using VS 2005, but built
my own toolbar to print, export, navigate, zoom and search the report. My
first pass isn't very stylish, but it gets the job done.

I also figured out how to have multiple reports coexist in the same web
application and how to improve performance when navigating through the report.

This was a project that definitely was worth the effort, but it really drove me
to drinking.

Since this project represented a huge investment of time and has finally paid
off, my boss wants me to write a complete walkthrough about my experiences. He
is willing to let me publish it. I want to do this before he changes his mind.

Is there an interest among our community here for this kind of document?

Judith - if there is an interest, is this something that Fusion Authority would
publish, even though it is not ColdFusion?
