I dont' think ANYONE thinks the situation that the palestinians currently live in is a good one, I think folks just are placing a great deal of responsibility for that situation on the palestinians. And i think there is proof that the palestinians terrorist factions are responsible for much of the opression that the palestinians face today. However, if you are of the opinion that none of israel should have ever been given to israel and that the jews don't belong there and its the palestinians right to take the entire country by force, I can certainly see where you would consider that the actions of the palestinians have been totally in response to 1948. However, if you believe that the Palestinians just deserve a country of their own, big enough for all of them and to live in peace (which is what you say you believe) then i don't see how you can see that the actions of the palestinians have not brought on their own repression.
I do not believe the death of any human being by another human being is a good thing. Period end of sentence. I don't place any higher value on the lives of Israeli kids than Palestinian kids. However, I do think that the Palestinian terrorists and sympathizers (note - not all palestinians) a) are HAPPY to kill israeli citizens b) do NOT value their civlians lives more than their cause and are happy to sacrifice kids to the great media propaganda god and c) deliberately place terrorist meeting places and safehouses in civilian areas to appeal to that same propaganda god. Curious, Mo, what do you think would be the ideal situation for the palestinians - what would be a satisfactory situation for them? Please be specific You have never disputed anyones arguments that the palestinians have been offered lands and peace on many occasions - what is it exactly that you think would be fair? And what should the deal be? Should the palestinian people be given whatever with no strings attached?
