Has anyone seen the Carl Sagan series Cosmos back in the 80's? I watched it in HS Astronomy and it was pretty interesting. He hypothesized about the odds of another civilization like ours, including duplicates of all humans on earth. There was a lot more to it than just this, but I do not recall all the details. It was pretty heavy stuff back then. I only wonder how he would have reacted to this discovery.
