I always tend towards a negative definition rather than a positive.

"Web 1.0", in my opinion, was defined by the compromises of its interface.
Ugly page refreshes, poor form controls, rotten inactivity, etc.  That was
web 1.0.  You _knew_ that you were using a web page, not an application.

"Web 2.0" is defined by the  lack of compromises.  Basically if you feel
more like you're using an application - well, then you're probably on a Web
2.0 site.

In other words it's not really (again, in my opinion) about what it
has/uses/features but what it lacks - namely compromises and workarounds in
the interface.  (Of course there are still compromises and workarounds in
the development - probably more).
