What a coincidence -- I was also in a break dancing troupe back in the day. We were called the "Actuarials," and we had an accounting / risk management theme.
We all had pencils behind our ears, which sometimes caused one or two of us to sustain injuries while doing head spins, which in itself was ironic, as we had this whole "risk management" theme going on. We would often chuckle about the irony. My stage name was "Risk Pool," and I scratched using a pair of HP12C's linked to a tone generator I built from Radio Shack parts. We had a pair of identical twins named "Double Entry" who always mirrored each other's moves, and a guy named "Audit" who made some dope fresh moves using the Zero-Halliburton briefcase he always danced with. "Actuari-Al Cal" was the troupe leader, and "Adjusting Entry" rounded out the team. Man, we were *hot*! I can't tell you how many times we opened a huge accounting or insurance conference. And the women... They would just thrown themselves at us. Especially when we danced to "Balance Your Accounts, Girl." If we were up on stage with security protecting us (as we got more and more popular) and the girls couldn't get to us, they'd just toss something up on stage. Okay, so they'd throw things like heavy orthopedic shoes and thick glasses, and sometimes the inertia would injure us, but we were adored. Memories...
