They're silver fillings, not mercury fillings. They do contain mercury, but they're still silver fillings. Anyway, amalgams have NEVER been classified as hazardous substances. Apparently, the stuff in the CFLs is classified as such. I dunno, someone says "If you break one, don't tell the government". I don't particularly like that idea. If I break one, and the mercury level in my daughters bedroom is suddenly 6 times the "safe" level recommended.. well, what if something along the way prevented her from being able to have children, or caused birth defects in her children, or gave her cancer from living in a bedroom for 15 years with unsafe levels of mercury. I know the chances are slim slim slim. Why would I want to take that chance? Plus, one of the CFL bulbs I put in the garage 6 months ago has already burned out. What a crock. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~| Macromedia ColdFusion MX7 Upgrade to MX7 & experience time-saving features, more productivity. http://www.adobe.com/products/coldfusion?sdid=RVJW Archive: http://www.houseoffusion.com/groups/CF-Community/message.cfm/messageid:233585 Subscription: http://www.houseoffusion.com/groups/CF-Community/subscribe.cfm Unsubscribe: http://www.houseoffusion.com/cf_lists/unsubscribe.cfm?user=89.70.5
