God luck with that, unless it is an awful accident, or an accident with serious injuries your hard pressed to get a cop to show up in California. You can call, but they will ask if anyone is hurt, is the accident impeding traffic etc... if not you are on your own. They will not show up. I have been told that "it sounds like a minor accident we don't have time for minor accidents just take down the persons information and file a report".
