No, it makes you an idiot because you refute science that is accepted
by 99% of scientists (unlike the science surrounding global warming,
which is not "generally accepted" even among scientists).  I don't
know how *ANYONE* can actually believe that the world is only 10,000
years old or so.  If you truly believe in creationism, then that's the
length of world history.

And I really don't get how *ANYONE* can believe that.  I think the
science of carbon dating is pretty sound.  There's no indication of
dinosaurs in the bible.  Why?  Because 99% of the earth's history is
in the first few pages of Genesis, and most of it is glossed over or
left out.

It is possible to believe in God *AND* evolution.  You just have to
not take the bible quite so literally and realize that it was WRITTEN
by people who couldn't have understood that the earth was billions of
years old even if God himself had told them.
