There are four major branches in my family tree, one (Bowens) arrived in the Carolinas in the 1680s, part of some charter or another. The Hambeckens arrived in the 1850s from Germany settled in Arkansas. The Wilson/O'Connells and O'Connors arrived in mid 1800's, refugees from the Irish Potato Famine.
