I've actually been waiting to see "Heroes" with useless powers. If this is a "natural" (or even if not) evolution then not all the powers are going to be great, wonderful things - some will be stupid and useless - the warts of the spectrum. Some have been more useless than others to be sure, but none have been laughably useless. In fact I would LOVE to see the following plot: Sylar tracks down a "hero" that has a stupid, useless power. He mocks the poor guy and lets him live: someone so special doesn't need that! Later Sylar is being hunted by the "good" heroes. They finally bring him to a stand-still in such a way that if he only had THAT power he could win. But he doesn't: his hubris is his downfall. Classic, powerful comic-book ending.
