Wow. Here in California premium is almost 4.00 a gallon in some places. Here
I paid 3.39 a gallon for regular unleaded for my 10 mpg truck. Fortunately I
am telecommuting so I fill up about once a week or every two weeks and it
has a small tank (never buy a short-bed truck). When I was commuting, I was
spending over 150 a week in gas. Add the 228 train pass every month and it
was costing me over 800 a month just to go to work.

That's good stuff to know. I have traveled through NY quite a few times,
but it was always Mass Pike up to Syracuse, I don't remember there being
that many tolls.

I'm also traveling with a gas-guzzler at the worst possible time, with gas
prices most likely in the $3.00 range and a truck that gets 8 miles to the
gallon...
