Personally, I'd say wait till after the sis gets married. Who needs the stress of a big family debacle over your wedding day. So, unless there's some uber signficance to 3/1/08, wait it out. Some women just get totally irrational about stuff like weddings. I have the feeling your fiance is not one of them, while it sounds like your sister is. Beware the irrational one. There be dragons.
