There's a number of different products vets sell like this. Advantix, BioSpot, Program, Frontline, etc. Frontline is probably the most popular though. Regardless of what it was, it may very well have been expired if it was that old. What I like about the Preventic collar that I mentioned though is that it is specifically designed to kill and repel ticks.
