If you installed CF in standalone mode then you need make sure you are
hitting the web server on the correct port, I believe it's 8500.

So your url would be something like:

http://127.0.0.1:8500/index.cfm

If you hit a cfc you get pushed to the CFC browser which requires log in.

I am starting up with coldfusion,so very new to it. I have installed
Coldfusion
trial version from Adobe site. I have Coldfusion programe to test out the

how it can run to my machine.
I have tried to open file with my browser that is index.cfm and another is
aplication.cfc but nothing happened.
How can i run the coldfusion file to my machine ? what other installations

need ? do i have to install apache server to run coldfusion file ?

Even as i have installed , Coldfusion trial adition of adobe, and i just
tried
to run it from programme files, i don't see any programme within it where i
can
run coldfusion file, so i have opened it with macromedia dreamwever and
tried.
Pls help me with the basic start problem.
I am expert with php and .net so, can understand technical aspects well..
