How do you know that it wont be significant? Now that its on windows it "could" blow right by firefox.
Apple needs to pull a m$ and give it some features for the ipod, appletv & iphone that only work in safari and then see how many of those 100+ million ipod users start using it. The thing is that you DONT know the future expectations of it, dont forget about all them ipod users, Apple holds a lot of power in that regard and I hope they use it. Say that happens and in 2 years safari hold 50% of the browser market and your company makes YOU go back and check and/or fix all the things that you ignored because you did what you are saying now? At least its strict on w3c standards so if you program for it it should be ok, its not like ie where they just blatently change crap and you have to go back and fix stuff that they cant make their mind up on. I tell my clients that if m$ changes things in the future and it breaks then that is a fee thats up to them and I cant be accountable for but in the case where you ignore safari and then have to go back.. well if it was me it would be on my dime for being and ignorant fool. >Hey, I'm not bitching about it being made available, I'm bitching about >future expectations of a very small number of users that will want >things to work in the browser. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~| ColdFusion MX7 and Flex 2 Build sales & marketing dashboard RIAâs for your business.
