In North Carolina, we have a variety of "vanity plate" programs. For example, I have a Carolina Hurricanes vanity plate. It has a Hurricanes logo, and room for up to 4 letters, followed by a small "CH".
So technically, my licence plate is "RICKCH", but really you just see "RICK" when I drive by. And a Hurricanes logo.
