I am 43 (44 in August). Since I already went through basic a lifetime ago, I only have to do the two week portion of it. The part after basic. Shooting up lots of rounds in various weapons that I have already used, claymores, urban assault training, combative and the like. I do not know when I am deploying again. I know that once I finish school I am ripe for the taking when another unit from California gets activated. Still, I am safe until December. After that, I have been back off of deployment for two years and I cannot decline an activation. And I am pretty set up for gear already from my last deployment. I do have to buy a compass and a couple of other minor things, but that is all less than 500.00 so it is not a problem. Thanks though.
