When I was troubleshooting it the other day, I asked about how she was "shutting down." She told me she was Hibernating the computer, the result is a bizarre loop of 5+ "Windows is Resuming" 'shutdowns' when attempting to resume. I told her to stop Hibernating the machine and the problem has not recurred... so far...
