yes, we are having problems with students who have new laptops since
the college is on 2003.

The issue I was testing was an alleged incompatibility with Blackboard
though. preliminary indications are that it's a user issue, but.

I guess I should have specified that anyone who wants to try this for
me needs to be willing to reinstall their JRE because ::cough:: well
better I not get into that here, but anyway... must have JRE 5.07 or
higher.
