Yeah, no doubt water upstate NY (not along the Hudson) is top notch, just
the city adds a butt load of junk into the water before it hits your house.
It can go either way though, Pops lives out at Saratoga Lake, water was
really slippery out there, in it's hardened state, plus it smelled like ass!
Good thing I live primarily with my mom'z at a well source that's super good
to drink, well at least I though so, who knows with my hair loss ;-)

There is a spot outside of SPAC and Saratoga State Park where people line up
for the spring/tap water. While for those not familiar with Saratoga, most
of the springs are mineral based, there is even a spring over by SPAC that
has a PVC pipe hanging out the side, allowing the sulfer/nitrous oxide to
escape... No wonder they though this was the spot of magic all curing
elixirs. They were all high on nitrous LOL

also i know the pond/spring that supplies the lower est side & Manhattan..

Ah, so that's why they coin it the champlain of water sources... LOL, not
that TI is all that close but they were mentioning earlier today on NPR, NYC
gets their water from Catskills. And that the city is running a whole
marketing campaign about drinking city water. I think this might go a step
above the San Fransisco case where NYC is actually paying money to ask
people to drink tap water...
