I'm not sure if it's _all_ we need but it does look sweet. ;^)

>From the "hands on" reports I've been reading the targeting actually seems
to work well (I've never been impressed by the Wiimote pointer as a precise
device).

For us the Wii is falling into the same rut that the GameCube fell into: we
buy everything "Mario", "Zelda" or "Metroid" and then the kids get whatever
they want (usually licensed crap). Oh - and I (of course) bought all of the
"Resident Evil" remakes for the GC. Cross platform games get bought on the
360 or PS3.

The virtual console get's a lot of use - more than the disc games actually
(although that's been the case for both the 360 and PS3 as well).

I don't regret the purchase at all - I'll happily buy a Nintendo system just
for the first party games. The virtual console and GC compatibility means
this system will be around here pretty much permanently (although I wish it
integrated better with my home theater).

But those first party games take sooooo loooong to come out and, admit it,
are starting to feel just a little bit stale (I'm sad to say that "Twilight
Princess" just never grabbed me). In any case Miyamoto's going to retire
sooner or later...
