Good games? Even better games? MY point is that Sony (or MS or Nintendo) can produce BETTER, MORE COMPELLING experiences without making games that are TECHNICALLY superior. This is the conjecture as we can see by the success of the Wii. Sony is the player in a position to do BOTH however and from their recent announcements they seem to be making a serious attempt to seize that opportunity. There are also baser reasons. Sony provides more hardware for that money (a 360 with an HD DVD player, HDMI, card reader and wireless networking would push its price far past PS3's base cost). Also while there are no compelling reasons to choose the free PSN service over the paid XBL at this point Home is looming and provides a very compelling reason. So, my point is, if Sony comes throughs with great games - even if they are not "two to three times better" (why a system that presents a 25-40% price premium over another should be expected to provide a 200-300% technical improvement escapes me) the system will succeed. Will it dominate? I doubt it. But a technically superior system with more in-the-box features AND, most importantly, a library of compelling games presents a reasonable challenge to the 360 even at the current price point. Even if those games are not, technically, beyond the capabilities of the 360 if they're only available on the PS3 then it's a moot point.
