I heard this story on the way into work today. The explosion was
local...about 15 miles from where I live. I was just shaking my head
after I heard it.

House Explosion Claims Another Life

The house explosion in Cleburne back in May has claimed a second life.
44-year old Hazel Sanderson died Sunday night at Parkland Hospital.
Her 64-year old mother, Hazel Pawlik, died last month. According to
the fire inspectors' report, the homeowner, David Pawlik, called the
fire department on May 29th, saying quote.."every time my wife lights
a cigarette, a blue flame shoots up to the ceiling." He was told not
to light any more cigarettes. But city manager Chester Nolen says
before the fire department could get there..Pawlick's wife wanted one
more cigarette. Her husband struck one match..and it went out in a
big blue flame. He struck a second match..and the whole house blew
up.
Hazel Sanderson's 12-year old daughter, Stephanie, remains
hospitalized at Parkland.
