I found this one on Fark... http://www.ksdk.com/news/news_article.aspx?storyid=124701
Fascinating story. A trooper died while participating in a manhunt for a man suspected of robbing a woman, a convenience store, and shooting a sheriff's deputy. The trooper was on his way to the scene where the hunt as going on.. driving down I-44 with his lights and siren on.. NOT chasing anyone, mind you, just on his way to the hunt. He comes over a hill and slams into a tractor trailer, and dies. The suspect was eventually caught, and the jury convicted him of second degree murder (among other things)... the held him responsible for the troopers death. Now, that seems like a stretch to me. Here's the story description on fark: "So if I'm shoplifting, and a cop driving to the store to arrest me dies in an accident, I'm guilty of murder?" I kinda agree with that sentiment. -- Rick Root Check out CFMBB, BlogCFM, ImageCFC, ImapCFC, CFFM, and more at www.opensourcecf.com ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~| Deploy Web Applications Quickly across the enterprise with ColdFusion MX7 & Flex 2 Free Trial http://www.adobe.com/products/coldfusion/flex2/?sdid=RVJU Archive: http://www.houseoffusion.com/groups/CF-Community/message.cfm/messageid:238721 Subscription: http://www.houseoffusion.com/groups/CF-Community/subscribe.cfm Unsubscribe: http://www.houseoffusion.com/cf_lists/unsubscribe.cfm?user=11502.10531.5
