Deanna: Tracy's already a bit higher priced (at least for purchases)
than Patterson is.

Basically, the job is in San Ramon... heading east from San Ramon you
get Livermore, Tracy, Patterson (in that order.. with a handful of
smaller communities/towns like Mounain House in between or just
north/south).

Of course, the further out you go, the less expensive it gets :)

I'm up in that area now (going to Flex Camp tonite. w00t!), and
looking at a couple of potential rentals tomorrow (one in San Ramon
and one in Castro Valley out to the west). Depending on how we feel
about what we see, we -may- look at a couple of the Patterson rentals
on Sunday (it's kind of on the way home).

I did just get feedback from a long time bay area resident who said
that the commute would be nightmarish (it's not just the distance...
it's the congestion and stop-and-go nature). He said that this
particular route (the stretch of 580) was recently rated the worst
commute in the bay area (i forget who did the ratings).

I'll keep y'all posted on what we find tomorrow and/or sunday :)
