One could, if one were so inclined, use it to dial long distance for
free. Just change the number that it rings to and then call the local
number.

Or, for people like my folks that live in 2 states during the year,
they can have one number that calls them in either place. (Or
potentially they could set up 2  numbers - such that people in
Wisconsin could dial local to get them in Arizona and vice versa.)

Of course, I think a lot of cell companies charge the same for local
and long distance anyway, so it might not matter if your primary phone
is a cell phone.
