It was a joke about those pictures made up of pictures, or random swirls and whatnot, that, due to the nature of bi-optical what-not-ed-ness, can contain information, layers thereof, if you will. You know, that strange hodge-podge on that one co- workers wall, that you look at, and say, "WTH? Is there some type of meaning to that weirdness? Or is it just "art"?" Of course, I'm the kind of guy who would have something that looked like one of those up, but that contained nothing- or else something pretty funny, like my buttocks.
