* We were looking for a new server to replace our ailing Active Directory controller and called 4 local companies trying to get pricing. In every single case it took them no less than 4 days to return our calls requesting information. In the end the only local vendor that answered our request couldn't get the quote correct, including the wrong version of Windows, license problems and hardware inconsistencies. * After a posting on craigslist my boss received a resume via email. 5 minutes later he got a call from the candidate demanding in an angry tone to know why he had not been called for an interview yet. *While working with a $100/hr networking company, the "Cisco specialist" they sent who looked no more than 22-23 years old, looked at the equipment and laughed, saying, "I haven't touched Cisco stuff in ages!" Later, we found him googling answers to the problems he was coming up with including how to access the configuration screen in the router (the enable command).
