i think the question was regarding new development.  certainly
updating older/legacy code is always a concern/issue and not limited
to HTML vs XHTML.

i'll give you that one.  but if that's the case, i think you have
bigger problems to deal with :)
altho, without an NS 4.7 install here... i wouldn't be able to say for
certain that an XHTML page would break NS 4.7.  does it?
