I think Paul has it right, its either a typo or, well, I'm not really sure what else it could be if he keeps saying stuff like that. You can parse something to something else, like CF 5 would parse CF code to semi-compiled P-code. But I can't think of any way it would make sense to parse an object to a method, since objects are comprised of methods. So Pass sounds much more reasonable in that situation.
