Seems like the big mistake was not putting the phone in the "boot-loader" mode prior to running update. I've looked into this, but I'm thinking of upgrading to a new Verizon phone when the 6800 comes out in a month or so. Although I also want one of those new iPod Touches and I'm guessing the finance committee will only approve me for one or the other so ...
