Viadeo is nothing like Quechup or the other networks that abuse your privacy by ripping your emails from Gmail, Yahoo etc and inviting without your consent - or as FaceBook do by hiding your consent in the small print. Viadeo is one of the World's largest business networks with 1.6m users in Europe and a further million in our partner network Tianji in China. Our users control their profiles, the network is based on permissions (no-one gets your personal contact details unless you accept to send it to them) and although you can upload your Webmail and Outlook address books these are stored securely (only you can access them) and noone is invited unless you actively action the invitation (either you invite each person or you select invite all).
