the odds of life elsewhere are infinitely small. It is however an
infinitely large universe. Nonetheless, if you attempt to quantify the
odds of an infinitely unlikely event happening close enough to our end
of the universe to be perceived by us withing the probable timeframe
of our civilization, you start runnning out of zeros to put after the
decimal point.
