My husband and I are completely devastated ... we've been reading these
books since the early '90s or so ... lord, since we were teenagers ... each
time one would come out we'd go back and read them all again up to the new
one ... I think I've read the first 6 or 7 books at least 10 times ... we
even joked (before he even got sick) that it would be just our luck if he
got hit by a train before the last book was finished and we'd never find out
what happened to each of the multitudes of characters ... so many
storylines, so little resolution ... *sigh*

Apparently, Jordan spent the last few months of his life dictating notes to
his wife and cousin for the last book ... he'd gotten it mostly complete and
decided they could handle the final touches ... such a sad time for them and
all his fans ...

RIP Robert Jordan indeed. =-(

We may not agree on some views of the world, but we're tight on
this Munn.

Way sad. I loved that series, and have been meaning to catch up...

It'll actually be kinda cool tho- I remember the sorta sad feeling at
the end of, say, the Book of Three series, etc., etc..

*sigh* Great characters, great freaking characters.

I guess being *ta'veren* isn't all cheese and ale

Won't have to worry about that, I guess. I'd rather they go on forever
though.
