Hillary seems to be the most likely candidate at this point to get the
nomination, but I agree that she might not be able to win the general
election, and I don't think Obama can either. I think there are
enough people out there who simply won't vote for either of them - for
various reasons, not the least of which might be that she is a she and
he is black (and urban legends would have less knowledgable people
believe he is also a muslim).

Edwards is still doing well in the polls and is getting support from
the unions. Union endorsements don't mean all that much except that
the union will often provide a lot of energetic volunteers for
canvasing, working the phones, etc. Edwards is EXPECTED to win the
SEIU endorsement, which could provide a boost. It's a strategy that
*MAY* pay off before the early primaries are over.

Unfortunately for John Edwards, Bill Richardson seems to be taking
away some of Edwards' support. I do like Bill Richardson, but I don't
like his view on Iraq. Pulling all of our troops out on day one of
his administration is a BAD BAD BAD idea. He's also not a very good
public speaker, and even though he is technically latino, he sounds
like he's from the upper midwest - like he should be drinking beer and
rooting for the Packers.

I think it's fascinating that Edwards started the Universal Health
Care debate - and some people who might otherwise lean democrat have
said they'd never vote for Edwards because of his universal health
care proposal. But *ALL* of the democratic candidates have some kind
of Universal Health Care plan. And thankfully, none of them support a
Canada-like "singler payer" program.
