The question is intent. If he was going for social commentary, humor,
etc, it fell short, but not unworthy. Or if he gave part of the
proceeds to an animal shelter. If it was purely commercial and
selfish, then boo on him.

My freshman year at UConn, a couple of football players broke into the
animal labs, and killed a number of cross-bred coyote-dogs by smashing
their skulls with hammers. With little or no repercussions, iirc.

I still own a UConn husky hat with a toy hammer stuck to it. $18

And I remember the cry from the stands during football games:

"Coy-dogs, coy-dogs. Bang Bang Bang."
