So I have been watching the news lately and there is a middle school in
Maine (http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,303058,00.html) that is
starting to dispense birth control to pre-teens. When did pre-teens
start having sex? This is crazy. They are so immature, not to mention
physically and emotionally not ready for something this serious. I just
don't get it. I know the parents are probably not aware of this as I was
not with my daughter. She has been sexually active since 14 (she is 16
now) and I did not find out about it until just after her 15th birthday.
I know kids were doing it when I was in HS in the late 70's/ early 80's,
but I really don't think kids were doing this in middle school. I just
wonder what the next generation is going to do. The kids that my
daughter will someday have.
