Ah! Old memories of games consoles and mis-spent youths are always the best!

I celebrated my 23rd birthday about 2 months ago and as a gift my Business
Partner bought me an absolutely mint condition 1989 Commodore Amiga 500 with
a copy of Monkey Island and Cannon Fodder on floppy disk... I've spent the
weeks since full of nostalgia, it even brought back memories from my child
hood that I'd totally forgotten about.

I've also since bought myself the 2Mb RAM upgrade, new 3.1 kick-start ROM
and currently bidding on a 40Mb HDD.... this is going to be one hell of a
games console! Wooo! :-D

Awesome stuff!

.....I used to work on second street in Cambridge and would walk through the
Galleria to get there. I noticed a small sign one morning at KB Toys
"Pre-order PlayStation 2!". I signed up and put down my five dollar
deposit.

Then I waited 10 months.

7 years ago, today, I walked into that KB Toys - I was one of only two
people to get a PS2 there that day. I took my valuable booty out of the
store, strapped it on to my bike and rode through the city enjoying the
hoots and hollers of passersby as they saw that technological marvel riding
on my luggage rack.

I picked up "Summoner" and "Tekken". My enjoyment was tempered only because
it took me another three weeks before I could obtain a memory card for my
new system.

Ah... good times.
