Marketing. The campaign put Guy Falks as a hero fighting an oppressive
government rather than an assassin. Paul's position has been that the
government (bush) is oppressive and needs to be replaced. As for his
followers, they're massively overbearing. If there's a poll that has paul's
name on it anywhere they'll spam it till he looks like the only candidate
rather than a last place one.
These money numbers will move him up in the 'ratings' but I'd like to see
the real stats on where the cash was coming from. Stacking the deck takes
many forms and this looks kind of suspicious.
